Why I Need Africa
Before visiting Zambia Africa, I had a series of images built up in my mind of what I expected to see and experience. I pictured rampant poverty, helplessness, and desperation. I expected to see straw and clay huts, kids with large bellies, and even maybe a little uncontrolled violence. When I say “Africa,” it’s possible that you imagine the same.
